FR Acrylic is a fire-resistant sealant designed to prevent the spread of fire and smoke through joints and openings in fire-resistant walls and floors, including those around building utility penetrations. FR Acrylic also maintains acoustic design performance with a service life of up to 30 years.

When exposed to atmospheric conditions, the fire-resistant sealant cures but retains some elasticity for joint movement. When exposed to fire, FR Acrylic forms a durable intumescent charring, creating strong fire insulation.

Our fire-resistant acrylic material can be used with a suitable filler to ensure the correct width-to-depth ratio and reduce shrinkage of the sealant during curing. Thermal activation occurs at approximately 180 degrees, and the material expands, blocking the passage of fire and smoke for up to 4 hours and longer.
