Protecta EX Mortar
EX Mortar is a dry, white powder composed of inorganic components and perlite. When mixed with water, these compounds form a fire-resistant insulation around openings and passageways in buildings. This prevents the spread of fire and smoke through openings in the floor, while providing high thermal insulation and thus preventing the spread of fire and smoke within the building.

Application Areas
Suitable for cables, bundled cables, cable trays, cable ladders, steel, copper, alupex, composite, plastic pipes and ventilation ducts.
Mechanical Strength
High mechanical strength; it is a load-bearing unit without reinforcement.
Compressive Strength
It has been tested for air permeability while exhibiting exceptional resistance to pressure.
Compatibility
Suitable for most surfaces including concrete, brick, steel, plastic, etc., but not suitable for door installations or service openings requiring movement.
Curing
You'll receive your first dose within an hour and it can be applied quickly.
Acoustic Performance
It will maintain acoustic design performance on walls and floors.

PRODUCT DETAILS
EX Mortar expands by approximately 1% during curing due to hydraulic action, providing a very tight seal around service penetrations and surrounding openings. The mortar hardens into an off-white, dry compound of approximately 1050 kg/m³ that can be sanded or drilled.
